About Organization : Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is an autonomous educational institution established under Ministry of Education, Government of India, with an aim to provide quality education to students. Kendriya Vidyalayas organize various curricular and extra-curricular activities for the all-round development of the students so that their overall personality is developed and they become enlightened citizens for nation-building. It gives us an immense pleasure and ecstasy to present the new comprehensive website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Guwahati Region. It is a compendium that mirrors multifarious activities that go on throughout the academic year for the harmonious and all-round development of the future citizens and also their accomplishment in different fields. KVS has taken a pioneer initiative in providing unlimited opportunities to students to excel and prove their mettle in various fields. Multiple activities are organized at different levels to promote healthy competition among students while developing their inherent talent. No tuition fee is charged from boy students up to class-VIII and girl students up to class-XII. 25% seats in class-I are reserved for the children belonging to socially disadvantaged and economically weaker sections of society under "RTE Act-2009". Children admitted under this Act receive completely free education up to class-VIII. This website will display information on administration, infrastructure, scholastic and non-scholastic pursuits, latest events, attainments and achievements of students and teachers.
